About Us
Meet the Board
CCDS is guided by a small, values-driven Board of Directors made up of three leaders in the mental health field. With decades of combined experience across clinical practice, supervision, education, and systems-level work, our board helps ensure CCDS stays grounded in ethical stewardship, cultural humility, and our mission: making clinical training and supervision more just, reflective, and sustainable.

Dr. Margaret Arnd-Caddigan M.A., M.S.W., PhD, LCSW
Dr. Margaret Arnd-Caddigan has a master’s degree in religious studies as well as a master’s and a doctorate in social work. She is a retired Associate Professor from East Carolina University School of Social Work, where her focus was on clinical practice. To that end, she taught, researched, and conducted clinical practice. Since 2013, she has served as the director of the Greenville Psychoanalytic Study Group. Dr. Arnd-Caddigan is the author of over 25 articles, primarily published in peer-reviewed academic journals. She is also the sole author of three books and the co-author of one book. Near the end of her academic career, Dr. Arnd-Caddigan turned her research and practice toward her early education, studying the relationship between spiritual and clinical issues. She designed and conducted research on the role of intuition in clinical practice and co-authored the findings from that study (Intuition in Psychotherapy: From Research to Practice by Stickle and Arnd-Caddigan; Intuition in Therapeutic Practice: A Mind-Centered Depth Approach for Healing by Arnd-Caddigan). She has also researched clinical approaches to working with individuals who have had paranormal experiences (Embracing Paranormal Experiences: A Guide for Experiencers and Their Helpers by Arnd-Caddigan). She wrote a theoretical book on holistic psychotherapy wherein spiritual issues are incorporated into clinical practice (Holistic Psychotherapy from a Post-Materialist Perspective by Arnd-Caddigan). She is currently teaching a course in Esotericism to therapists who integrate alternative and complimentary practices into their clinical work. Dr. Arnd-Caddigan continues to explore the healing power of spiritual practices in her retirement, including spiritual methods to heal the effects of spiritual and religious trauma and abuse. Much of Dr. Arnd-Caddigan’s clinical theory is discussed on the podcast for which she is co-host: Finding Our Minds. She has also appeared as a guest on several spiritually oriented podcasts, where she explores the relationship between spirituality and clinical work.
